A triple suicide bombing at a video hall in Borno killed at least 30 people and injured another 40. The attack has been blamed on Boko Haram. A staff member got into an argument with one of the attackers as they tried to gain entry to the hall before detonating near the entrance. Two nearby attackers at a tea stall then detonated their vests.

A crane fell onto a Dallas apartment building during a severe thunderstorm warning, killing 1 person and injuring 6. The area was also under a tornado warning, sending the crane rocking back and forth until collapsing onto an adjacent apartment complex.
