Car Bombing Outside Afghan Security Forces Recruitment Center Leaves 14 Dead and 150 Injured

A car bomb was detonated outside of a police station used as a recruitment center for Afghan security forces in Kabul during morning rush hour, killing 14 people and injuring 145 others. The attack occurred amid increased widespread violence, with nearly 100 military operations carried out in the previous 24 hours. July was the deadliest month in the past several years with 1500 civilians killed or wounded.

Series of Blasts at Russian Ammunition Storage Facility Cause 1 death, Thousands Forced to Evacuate

A series of large explosions continuing for 16 hours occurred at a Russian ammunition storage facility in Siberia, killing 1 person and injuring 13 more. Up to 16,500 were told to evacuate and airspace cleared in a 20 km radius due to shrapnel from the blasts.

Car Bomb Outside of Egyptian Hospital Kills 20 Injures Nearly 50

A car bomb detonated outside of Egypt’s National Cancer Institute in Cairo killed at least 20 people and injured 47. The Interior Ministry says the car was probably being transported for use in another terrorist operation when it collided with 2 other vehicles while driving on the wrong side of the rode, causing the explosion. The explosion started a fire at the hospital, causing a partial evacuation of the facility.
