Twin Blasts in Aleppo University Kills 82

The first day of exams in the University of Aleppo had to be moved due to two explosions.  The blasts which killed 82 and critically wounding at least 160 happened in close proximity to the university dormitories and the architecture building. The victims were mostly students and civilians who were being housed in the university.   No cause is known and no direct party has confirmed responsibility over the incident.

Five Dead in Car Bomb Attack in Kapisa

The Taliban was behind a car bomb attack in Kapisa, Afghanistan on Friday morning in which five people died. The attack was aimed at a NATO convoy but did not harm any members from NATO.



Death Toll in Mozambique Flood Still Expected to Rise

On Thursday, the death toll from flooding in Mozambique has risen to 12 and is expected to increase in the coming days.  The flood continues to affect a  majority of southern Mozambique, where the electricity has been shut down.  70,000 people were forced to evacuate from their shelters and seek temporary refuge in different evacuation centers.  The heavy rains are expected to last until Tuesday of next week.
